THEME
This year’s auction theme is “Heart & Soul,” supporting our students who are at the center of all we do for Nolan Catholic High School. Join us for a fun virtual evening filled with surprises that demonstrates the goodness of education, the truth of God’s grace and the beauty of God’s family.
HISTORY OF NOLAN CATHOLIC MARDI GRAS & AUCTION
Nolan Catholic's auction began as a carnival and dance in the late 50s/early 60s. All parishes sold raffle tickets to raise money for the event, and the parish raising the most money selected a parish girl to be the Queen of the Carnival. The Carnival King was a Nolan student. The first Mardi Gras auction at Nolan Catholic was held in 1981 and has since been held at a variety of venues - hotels, country clubs, museums, Fort Worth Zoo and the Stockyards.
The Mardi Gras Dinner & Auction is now an annual fundraising event with all proceeds benefiting our students. This event helps bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating a student. Last year, our auction raised over $100,000, and this year the need for support is greater than ever!
